Road development for rural urban connectivity

Road indicates the might of the nation. It represents power, prosperity and  culture. It symbolizes accessibility and connectivity.

Accessibility refers to the ability to make use of opportunities embodied in goods, services, activities and destinations.
In 21st century, internet has brought people of world closer to each other than before and so social inclusion has became more important. For this, connectivity plays an important role.
When we think about urban area, a rosy picture about immense opportunities and facilities come to our mind. We imagine  good educational and health institutes, economical prosperity and social equality.

But, what about rural areas? When we think about rural area, agriculture, lack of education, social inequalities and injustice and disguised employment are few of the things.

As a result of this disparity, people migrate from villages to towns with the hope of better life and better future, but it burdens the already burdened infrastructure of urban area.

See the irony, 60% of Indian population living in villages are contributing to only 6% of GDP. It clearly indicates that people who feed entire nation remains malnourished and have no access to knowledge. If there is poor access to basic information the household will be unaware of ideas and technology that might help them to lift their level of living; and if there is poor access to education, children will probably share the limitations in the future, confronting their parents today. When there is drought or any natural calamity, aid doesn’t reach in time as a result many people suffer from the loss of their loved ones and their wealth.

Due to lack of equal opportunities economic and social differences are widening and hampering the growth of the country.

So, building roads are necessary as building roads will build the future of the nation.

With the help of connectivity, many small workshops like printing, wielding can be shifted to rural areas.

Road improve supply chain and promote economic growth.  From the rough, mountainous terrain of Himachal Pradesh to the dry, rugged landscape of Rajasthan, new roads are revitalizing the rural economy, raising incomes, and improving the quality of rural life. Farmers now find it easier to take their produce to market in time, school enrollment is on the rise, and families' access to health care has improved. Road development has brought paradigm shift in the way rural areas are designed, monitored and built.

The government of India invest huge amount with the help of world bank on project  like pradhan mantri gram sadak yojana to substantially expand rural road connectivity
But building road is a huge infrastructural activity which requires finance and manpower.since government has to allocate the money for other programmes and schemes and a result they aren’t able to provide enough finance for road development.

To overcome this lacunae, Government should take extensive survey to find out rural areas which have potential  to undertake diverse economic activities. New rural roads will be needed  to serve communities in more remote and difficult terrain requiring special attention to planning and implementation.

As late mohammad ali said,Service to others is the rent you pay for your room here on earth.”
As a proud and nationalist Indian, it is our responsibility to pay our taxes on time, ask for the bill and pay sales tax.
We should never ever evade tax giving pretext to our political and bureaucratic system being corrupt. If we think so, then we must use right to information and other legitimate tools to dug out all the cases related to corruption and put the culprit behind the bars.
People may think connecting each and every villages and city by all weather  road is impossible but   let me remind you people, impossible is not a fact it is a opinion.
